The
Story of Ruth is typically familiar amongst bible believers. This book is
short but there are a lot of lessons that are illustrated within those four
chapters. I don't want to give an entire bible lesson here but I want to
share some things that GOD laid upon my heart. Ruth was an interesting
woman. She grew up in a pagan land called Moab. But, she married a
Hebrew man. Long story short, she became widowed. The bible isn't
clear on what exactly happened to her husband. But, she also lost her
father-in-law, and brother-in-law. Can you imagine that amount pain that she
endured from the loss? Her mother-in-law: Naomi was in greater pain. She
had lost her husband and her only two sons. It seemed like GOD was
against the two of these women. So, Naomi decided to go back to the land
of her people: The Jews. Naomi wanted to go back to her homeland alone.
She wanted to be amongst the people that believed in the true and living
GOD. But, Ruth refused to leave her mother-in-law's side. She
decided to go with Naomi. Ruth seemingly had a lot to lose. First,
she was losing her religion. She was raised as a pagan. She was
losing her culture. She was losing her old life. But, she didn't
care because her love for Naomi was sufficient enough to love the GOD of Naomi.
Ruth came under the covering of the GOD of Israel, the true and living
GOD. She found favor in a kinsman named Boaz. The story goes on and
GOD restores Naomi through the marriage of Ruth and Boaz. Ruth births a
baby named Obed. Naomi took Obed as her own child. Later we see
that Obed begat Jesse, Jesse begat King David. Jesus the Christ was born
in the line of King David. GOD saw fit to restore both Naomi & Ruth
and allow his only begotten son to be born in such a beautiful bloodline.
Where
am I going with all of this?
Sometimes
in life, things fall apart. I have gone through things and literally
'felt' as if GOD had left me. I have cried rivers of tears. I have
cried out to the Most High GOD, and it 'felt' as if he wasn't listening!
I can honestly tell you this: There is a purpose in things falling apart.
This isn't some cliché! I am a living testament that GOD will
sometimes allow pain to bless us. Satan will use that pain to keep you
bound to the event that you've gone through. GOD will use that pain to
usher you into something bigger and greater than your very life. Did Ruth
and Naomi know that King David and eventually the Son of GOD would be birthed
from the pain that they had endured?
Probably Not. But, GOD knew exactly what he was doing. He restored
them in life and in death their names are still being spoken about in sermons
and bible studies throughout the world. So, let me ask you: What is this
pain that has you bound? Has Satan told you that it will never end? Has Satan
told you that there isn't any purpose in your pain? Has Satan made you
doubt that GOD is with you? Well, I am here to announce that GOD has not
abandoned you! You are not an after thought. You are not left
behind, as matter of fact you are right on schedule for a big blessing from
heaven. I am sensing that someone reading is contemplating suicide.
I come against that suicide spirit in the name of Jesus, by the power of
his blood you won’t take your life! You will live and not die! It isn't
over for you! This pain will yield something bigger than you can imagine.
If you are enduring pain right now, lay before GOD (cry out non-stop), he
is faithful and true to deliver you from all hurt and pain. Don't let
this hurdle kill you. You shall leap for joy in a little while!
Keep pressing! I love you!!!
Tanika
